Cervical spondylotic myelopathy treated by semi-laminectomy and opposite potential decompression
Objective:To evaluate the curative effect of decompression operation of cervical spondylotic myelopathy. Methods:Twenty two cases
treated by semi-laminectomy and opposite potential decompression from July 1997 to June 1999
were reviewed. They had been followed up for 3~23 months. Results:The curative effect of the decompression operation has the following advantages: (1)There were fewer complications and lesser hemorrhage. (2) It did not affect the stability of spine. Conclusion:Semi-laminectomy and opposite potential decompression is an ideally effective method for the treatment of cervical spondylotic myelopathy.
