Apoptosis of human HepG2 induced by N-methylcantharidinimidum
To demonstrate the induction of apoptosis of human HepG
2
(Hepatocellular Carcinoma) cell lineN-methylcantharidinimidum in order to investigate the mechanism of its anticancer action. MTT method
TUNIflow cytometry(FCM) and light microscopy were used. HepG2 cells treated with N-ethylcantharidinimidumunderwent cell proliferation inhibition;typical nuclear condensation and fragmentation can be detected by lightmicroscopy;apoptotic peaks were also detected on FCM
and the TUNEL-positive cells can be seen after beingtreated with N-methylcantharidinimidum at 6mg/ml for 5days. N-methylcantharidinimidum can induce apoptosisof HepG2 cells in a certrain concentration.
