We detected HP antibody in serum by using two rapid paper methods. In 52 cases with positive antibody inserum HP infections were examined by smear and urease test

and 20 cases of negative antibody in serum werenot measured HP infection by smear and urease test. The specificity and sensitivity of both the domestic productand the import test paper were

96.5%. The specificity and sensitivity of theimport test paper were better than those of the domestic products (P＜0.05) .The test paper methods were fasterthan ELISA.In conclusion

the test paper methoeds were simple

rapid

reliable

sensitive

and specific. The importtest paper performed better than the domestic products. These two test paper methods are suitable for commonclinical use and epidemiological investigation.
