The cytotoxic effect of aspirin on human gastric cancer cell lines SGC-7901 in vitro
The inhibitory effects of aspirin on the growth of human gastric cancer ce1l lines SGC - 7901were studied byusing MTT assay in vitro. The results showed that the growth of SGC-7901 was greatly inhibited by31.25mmol/L aspirin. The inhibitory rates for growth of SGC-7901 were positively correlated with theconcentration (r=0.8873 ) and duration (r=0.8256 ) of aspirin in the media. The combination of aspirin in lowconcentration with 5-Fluororacil (5-Fu) showed a synergistic inhibitory effect on the growth of SGC-7901.Inconclusion
aspirin inhibited the growth of human gastric cancer cell lines SGC-7901 and had betterinhibitory effects when combined with 5-Fu.
