The clinical study of the role of methyl-testosterone in abortion by mifepristone
we studied the role of Methyl-testosterone(MT)in the termination of pregnancy within the first eight weeks. The experimental group of 100 patients was treated with MT
Mifepristone and Misoprostol
while the control of another 100 patients was treated with Mifepristone and Misoprostol. The results showed that the rate of complete abortion in both groups was 94% and 89% respectively(P>0.05).Also the percentage of discharged embryoes treated after five hours was 86.11% and 65.17% respectively(P<0.05)
moreover
the period of vaginal bleeding lasted 10.15±4.60 days and 16.50±5.40 days respectively(P<0.05). Furthermore
the volume of vaginal blood was 79.46±17.05ml and 111.15±25.62ml(P<0.01).Based on those data
we concluded that MT could significantly enhance the effect of Mifepristone on abortion within the first eight weeks.
