Preliminary clinical observation on treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy with Nimotop
In order to inquire into the clinical curative effect and the mechanism of Nimotop on treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy
56 cases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DNP)were treated with Nimotop by means of intravenous drip. The clinical manifestations before and after treatment
conduction velocity of sensory nerve and motor nerve and change of hemorheology were observed then. The result showed that after 1 to 2 courses of treatment
the clinical effective rate was 88.9%
with a notable improvement in nerve conduction velocity. The average rate on each nerve had been increased 2.44m/s.To compare with the situation before treatment
a significiant difference was shown(P<0.01~0.001)
and a decrease in aggregation of red blood corpuscle eas found (P<0.05).All mentioned above have indicated that Nimotop is useful for treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy. It has less side-effect and a fairly good curative effect.
