MOVEMENT CHARACTERSTlCS OF THE SPERMATOZOA ASSESSED BY TIME-EXPOURE PHOTOMICROGRAPHY
Movement characterstics of the seminal spermatozoa were studied by means of time-exposure photomicrography in 20 fertile and 101 infertile males. The trail of the spermatozoa were analysed. Our results suggested that several modes of sperm movement existed
their quality declined in the following order: straight-swimming rolling and yawing. The data of sperm movement overlapped in the fertile and infertile men
so it can not considered to be the only diagnostic basis. The test is not complicated
and the photography can be preserved for a long time
so the data taken at different times can compared. It can be helpful in the diagnosis of infertile males and the research of drugs for family planning
