ULTRASONOGRAPHIC MONITORING OF OVULATION FOR 85 INFERTILE WOMEN
The present report refers to monitor ing ovulation of 85 infertile women with ultrasonography. One hundred and fortysix menstrual cycles
including 105 natural cycles and 41 induced cycles
were evaluated. The ovulation rate of the nature group is 77.14% and 87.80%
for the induced group.Comparatively
the latter group has following features: more developing follicles
larger follicular maximum diameter
more ruptured subdominant follicles
and follicular shrinking as the main ovulation sign. The correspondence rate between ullrasonographic and BBT presumed ovulation day is 59.83%
with 1-5 days of difference range.Of 42 infertile couples to whom sexual intercourse was suggested on the ultrasonographic presumed ovulation day
14(33.33% )were conceived just through one or two cycles. These results suggest that ultrasonographic evaluation of ovulation is practical and valuable in the treatment of infertility
