EVALUATION OF SERUM FUCOSYLATED AFP ASSAY IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF PRIMARY HEPATIC CARCINOMA. [J]. Journal of Chongqing Medical University (2):96-101(1991) DOI: 10.13406/j.cnki.cyxb.1991.02.002.
EVALUATION OF SERUM FUCOSYLATED AFP ASSAY IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF PRIMARY HEPATIC CARCINOMA
serum fucosylated AFP(Fuc AFP)was determined in 167 cases
including primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC) (72 cases)
various liver diseases(54 cases)
other gastrointestinal tumors (4 cases)
and healthy controls (37 cases) .The results showed that serum fucosylation index of AFP (FucI) was significantly higher in PHC than in controls and other diseases (P<0.001). As markers
FucI was useful in the diagnosis of PHC with sensitivity of 84.7% and specificity of 89.5%.The diagnostic positivity was 76.7% in PHC patients with normal or low producing AFP.Through combination of FucI and AFP assa-y
the diagnostic positivity was raised to 90.3%.Marked fall in both FucI and AFP levels were noted in 5 patients with PHC after surgical resection or chemotherapy. In correlation with Edmondson classification of 17 patients with hepatoma
it showed that the serum levels of FucI was higher in well differentiated tumors than in poorly differentiated ones
COMBINED ASSAY OF SERUM TUMOR ENZYME MARKERS IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA
Evaluation of serum lectin-reactive α-fetoprotein affinity blotting method and the qualitative, quantitative analysis of γ-glutamyl transpeptidase isozyme Ⅱ in the diagnosis of primary hepatic carcinoma
