SONOGRAPHY DIAGNOSIS OF POLYPOID LESIONSOF GALLBLADDER (REPORT OF 11 CASES)
Eleven patients with polypoid lesions of gallbladder were reported. The lesions were diagnosed by ultrasonography and confirmed by opration and pathology. They included adenoma 1 case
poly-papilloma 1 case
inflammatory polyp 3 cases and cholesteropqlyp 6 cases. There were 7 males and 4 females in the group. Oral cholecystography were performed in six cases after ultrasound ezaminasions. Most of ultrasonic features of polypoid lesions of gallbladder were : multiple round hype-rechogenic masses without acoustic shadow in the lumen of gallbladder) the diameter of the mass usually was less than 1 cm.
and the mass itself does not move with the change of patient’s position. Sonographic diagnosis of polypoid lesions of gallbladder must differentiate them from fungating primary cancer
small stone and plicae tumicae vesicae fellcae. We highly recommend sonography for the diagnosis of polypoid lesions of gallbladder
as its sensitivity is higher than oral cholecystography
