THE DETERMINATION OF ANTITHROMBIN III IN 238 CASES OF GENERAL SURGICAL PATIENTS
Plasma antithrombin III in 238 cases of general surgical patients were measured in our hospital from 1984 to 1985. The abnormal level of antitrombin III is lower than 21mg/dl or higher than 33mg/dl in protein content
lower than 69% or higher than 110% in functional activity. The normal levels of antithrombin III measured in 69 healthy persons were 27.33 + 3.88mg/dl in protein content and 86.4+17.2% in functional activity.. The measurement of antithrombin III level can be used to evaluate the seriousness of thrombembolic diseases
