150 patients (185 eyes) with cataract extaraction were observed in our hospital from 1977 to 1984. They were 81 male and 69 female

at the age of more than 50 years old in 120 cases. 185 eyes’ operations were done

by the cryosurgery method 119 (64.3%)

forceps capsule method 50(27%)

and needle aspiration method 16(8.7%).The vision of postoperation improved between 0

02 to 1

2 in 140 eyes(80%) .The effective rates of cryosurgery method were 8596(100/117 eyes)

higher than that latter two methods (70% and 58%).The complication occurred in 77 eyes among them vitreous detachments (38 eyes) were most common.The method of operation evaluation of the results
