Expression and prognosis of HJURP gene in head and neck cancer based on Oncomine Meta analysis
Objective:To clarify expression level of holliday junction recognition protein(HJURP)in head and neck cancer and its association with prognosis. Methods:Data from Oncomine was used for HJURP expression analysis and dataset from ArrayExpress was used for survival analysis. Results:For different diseases in Oncomine
383 analysis results were found for HJURP
125 of which were significantly highly expressed in cancer tissues while only 18 of which were down regulated in cancer tissues. Thirteen datasets including twenty seven analysis were involved in head and neck cancer vs. normal for HJURP. Eight analysis showed that HJURP was up regulated and only one analysis showed the opposite result. Survival analysis was performed using E-TABM-302 dataset indicating that HJURP expression level had negative relationship with head and neck cancer prognosis. Conclusion:HJURP is up regulated in head and neck cancer by microarray analysis and can be used as a potential prognostic biomarker.
