Microglia in neural development and Alzheimer’s disease
Microglia(MG) related chronic neuroinflammation has long been considered as one of the important mechanisms of Alzheimer ’s disease(AD). Recently
the physiological function of MG in the development and maintenance of the central nervous system has been paid more and more attention by scientists. This non-inflammatory function also plays a vital role in the progression of AD. Elucidating the non-inflammatory function of MG can be help to comprehensive understand its role in AD. This review summarizes the recent advances in the role of MG in the development and maintenance of the nervous system and the role in the development of AD.
