Research progresses of the relationship between dioxygenases in kynurenine pathway and tumor
Dioxygenases in kynurenine pathway are heme-protein enzymes. These enzemyes could catalyze tryptophan into kynurenine
resulting in the decrease of tryptophan and the increase of kynurenine and its downstream products
which could inhibit the proliferation of T cells. Nowadays
increasing evidence demonstrate kynurenine pathwway plays an important role in the metastasis of tumor. However
there is little reviews about it. Hence
we will review the researches about the relationship between dioxygenases in kynurenine pathway and tumor. This paper will illustrate the biologic function of these enzymes and their relationship with tumor
providing an opinion regarding the future developmental directions of this region
especially the development and applications of these enzymes inhibitors as treatments.
