Progress in the assessment and treatment for diabetic foot
Diabetic foot(DF)is a common and severe complication
with an incidence of 15% to 25% in diabetic population. Among these patients with DF
50% are accompanied with wound infection. There are multiple risk factors which affect DF prognosis including peripheral arterial disease
proportion and depth of ulcer
peripheral neuropathy and infection. Therefore
DF is the main cause of amputation for clustering risk factors. Meanwhile
DF may also lead to increasing risk of cardiovascular events and all-cause mortality. So
prevention and treatment of DF is vital in improving living quality and survival time of diabetic patients. Although progress have been made in DF treatment
current therapies are still shortened in resolving clinic challenges
and exploring new treatment for DF is urgently needed. For the purpose
