Correlation between mitochondrial dysfunction and multiple sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis(MS)is an idiopathic inflammatory demyelinating disease in common central nervous system. It demonstrates a chronic remission relapse course;its etiology is unknown so far and there is no cure for it. It is one of the main causes of non traumatic disability in young adults
which is a serious burden to the family and society. There is increasing evidence that mitochondrial dysfunction plays a role in the development of MS. In this paper
we review the correlation between mitochondrial dysfunction and MS.
