Objective:To improve the understanding of clinicians on endobronchial hamartoma(EH). Methods:The diagnosis and treatment course of one case of EH was reported and analyzed. The clinical manifestations

treatment and prognosis was discussed through literature review. Results:1A tumor was found in the right main bronchus of an eighty-year-old man and he was misdiagnosed as lung cancer

but pathological result showed that it was EH. 2Forty-four cases of EH with complete clinical data were reported by published articles

involving 26 males and 18 females(F ∶M =1.4 ∶1)

aging from 31 to 77 years old

averaged(56.6 ±11.3) years old. Location of the lesion:4 cases in the trachea

22 cases on the right bronchus and 18 cases on the left bronchus. Before 2004

surgical resection was the only way to treat EH. While bronchoscopy interventional treatment has become the main method since 2004.Conclusion:EH is a rare benign tumor with a high misdiagnosis rate. Chest CT and bronchoscopy are both important examinations. It can be cured by bronchoscopy interventional treatment which has replaced traditional surgery.
