Adrenal vein sampling is used to determine whether autonomous hormone production is unilateral or bilateral in patients with primary aldosteronism. Adrenal vein sampling is a gold-standard etiological diagnostic test in primary aldosteronism
which is performed more frequently in foreign institutions. However
the technology has not been widely used in domestic institutions because of difficult procedure. The author use data from published literature and the clinical work experience to discuss the confusion and thinking of the technology.
