Wanfang and VIP for relevant randomized controlled trials(RCTs)until the end of November 2015 was conducted. The quality of the included studies was independently assessed by two reviewers(according to the Cochrane Collaboration’s risk of bias)and the Review Manager 5.3software was applied. The network Meta-analysis was performed in Win BUGS version 1.4.3 and Stata version 13.0. Results:Sixteen RCTs with a total of 744 patients were included in this network Meta-analysis. The pooled results showed that the radial nerve palsy rate of minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis(MIPO)was the lowest(SUCRA probability:77.1%)
followed by intramedullary nailing(IMN)(SUCRA probability:44.2%)
and open reduction and plate osteosynthesis(ORPO)was the highest(SUCRA probability:28.7%).Regarding the nonunion
SUCRA probabilities were 71.9%
50.4%
27.7% for MIPO
ORPO
IMN
respectively. Regarding the infection
SUCRA probabilities were 74.0%
63.3%
12.7% for IMN
MIPO
ORPO
respectively. Conclusion:MIPO is the optimum choice in the treatment of humeral shaft fractures and ORPO is superior to IMN.
