【Abstract】：Objective This paper investigates and analyzes the setting of network elective course in a medical college from the aspects of studentselective course

learning situation and achievement

points out the problems existing in network elective course

and explores the solving strategies so as to realize the effective complement of network elective course to traditional teaching. Methods The data of four semesters of online elective courses in a medical college from 2016 to 2017 were collected through Superstar Erya and Wisdom Tree platform. Results The students selected courses mainly in the autumn semester and their study time is concentrated in the middle of the week.Female students have better performance than male students

and students of different majors have different performance. Students of five-year system have better performance than those of four-year system.Conclusion Students can log in and learn independently. Some students are not scientific enough to study. There is no difference in the ability of students to learn independently. There are differences in different academic systems.We need to further popularize online elective courses

guide students to reasonably plan their study time

mobilize students enthusiasm for learning

and cultivate students ability of independent learning and lifelong learning.
