District management is a new term in universities' ideological and political education. This paper took Chongqing Medical University as an example and gave a general introduction to the uni-versities' ideological and political education from the background， outstanding features and advantages in-cluding settling counselors in district， arousing enthusiasm for work， managing by functional departments together， faculties and students taking part in district management， etc. All these measures can be of help to universities' ideological and political educators.
