The training mode of ‘consecutive four-stage system’ for postgraduate education was investigated under the united training condition of university， institute and affiliated hospital based on the concept of translational medicine theory. At the stage of ‘theoretical knowledge accumu-lation’， the clinical supervisor had the overall responsibility and constructed the personalized curricu-lum for postgraduates； at the stage of the ‘project preparation’， the clinical supervisor asked post-graduates to find the issue from clinical practice and constructed the united training by supervisors from clinical department and basic research department； at the stage of ‘training of basic research ability’， seminar teaching was carried out for postgraduates； at the stage of ‘scientific achievement formation’， supervisors guided postgraduates to write papers and thesis. By these means， the abilities of scientific research for ophthalmic postgraduates were promoted.
