7 cases due to diphaein and 10 cases of other causes.It is to be noted that gastric lavage of patients poisoned with zinc phosphide ingestion should be carri- ed out as soon as possible

but it is also indicated in cases whose ingestion of the poisoning has been beyond 6 hours. with regard to diphaein poisoning the interval between ingestion and clinical manifestatiom may be as long as 3 weeks.The physician must keep the rodenticide poisoning in mind if he fai- led to correlate any common causes to systemic bleeding.
