Objective: To determine the reference range of ratio between urine amylases and urine creatinine

and evaluate the ratio by comparing with urine amylases only. Methods:Determine the urine amylases and urine creatinine of healthy persons

construct the reference range of urine amylases and the ratio

evaluate those two items by comparing the results from suspicious pancreatitis judged by two methods. Results: The reference range ±of urine amylases is 0~595U/L( 2s±)and that of the ratio is 3.2~57.2U/mol ( 2s). The sensitivity of urine amylases is 55.6%

and that of the ratio is 72.2%

the specificity of them are 57.1% and 85.7% respectively. Conclusion: ± The reference range of the ratio of urine amylases/urine creatinine is 3.2~57.2U/molCr ( 2s)

which is better than urine amylases only.
