Expressions of cFLIP and FADD in cervical carcinoma and their significances
Objective:To investigate the expressions of cFLIP and FADD in cervical carcinoma and explore their associations with the carcinogenesis and development of cervical carcinoma
and to evaluate their clinical significances. Methods:The expressions of cFLIP and FADD proteins were detected in cervical tissue samples including 64 cervical carcinoma tissues
15CIN
12 chronic cervicitis tissues and 10 normal cervix tissues by immunohistochemistry(SP).And PCNA-LI in 64 cervical carcinoma samples was determined. Results:cFLIP and FADD expressions were significantly different among cervical carcinoma
CIN
chronic cervicitis tissue and normal cervix. The high expression of cFLIP and low expression of FADD were simultaneously found in cervical carcinoma.Statistical analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between the level of cFLIP expression and PCNA-LI(r1=0.7738
P<0.01)
and a negative correlation between the level of FADD expression and PCNA-LI(r2=-0.8011
P<0.01)in cervical carcinoma tissue. The further analysis found that in cervical carcinoma with the poorer differentiation of tumor cells and at more advanced clinical stage
and in the tumor cells with positive lymph node metastasis
cFLIP expressed high and FADD expressed low. There was no significant correlation of cFLIP and FADD expressions to the age of patients and their histological types. Conclusions:cFLIP and FADD were closely related to the carcinogenesis
development and metastasis of cervical carcinoma
which indicated that cFLIP and FADD may be the potential targets for treating cervical carcinoma.
