Primary prostatic intravascular large B cell lymphoma:A case report and literature review
Objective:To investigate the clinicopathological characteristics of primary prostatic intravascular large B cell lymphoma(IVLBCL) and the prognosis of the patients. Methods:One case of primary prostatic IVLBCL was studied by microscopic observation
immunohistochemistry staining and the clinical follow up.6 cases of prostatic IVLBCL reported in the literature were reviewed. Results:The median age of prostatic IVLBCL patients was 68-year-old.They often complained of progressing dysuria
and their prostatic enlargement was revealed. After the prostatectomy
the pathological biopsy revealed that dysplastic lymphoid cells proliferating in prostatic interstitial vessels. The immunohistochemistry staining revealed that tumor cells had positive expression of B cell marker CD20 and CD79α
and many tumor cells had positive expression of Ki67.After diagnosed as primary prostatic IVLBL
the patients were treated with cyclophosphamide
doxorubincin
vincristine
and prednisolone(CHOP) and/or rituximab
With the good therapeutic effect. Conclusion:The primary prostatic IVLBCL patients have good prognoses after they undergo prostatic resection and chemotherapy.
