Analysis of changes and clinical significance of blood lipid, resistin and lipocalin-2 levels in SCH patients during pregnancy
Objective To analyze the changes and clinical significance of blood lipid parameters
resistin(RE)
and neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin-2(lipocalin-2) in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism(SCH) during pregnancy to provide scientific evidence for clinical treatment. Methods A total of 127 pregnant women with SCH during pregnancy(study group) and 420 euthyroid pregnant women(control group) who underwent pregnancy tests in our hospital from March 2020 to March 2021 were selected as the study subjects and controls
respectively. The levels of blood lipid parameters [high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)
low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)
total cholesterol(TC)
triacylglycerol(TG)
and homocysteine(Hcy)] were measured by the automatic biochemical analyzer. The levels of RE and lipocalin-2 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The data were statistically analyzed. Results The levels of TSH
TC
TG
Hcy
and LDL-C in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(all P<0.05)
and there was no significant difference in HDL-C levels between the study group and the control group(P>0.05). In the study group
RE levels were lower while lipocalin-2 levels were higher than those in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Correlation analysis showed that lipocalin-2 was positively correlated with TG
LDL-C and TC levels(all P<0.05)
RE was negatively correlated with TG
TC and LDL-C levels(all P<0.05). Conclusion The levels of RE and lipocalin-2 can reflect the blood lipid level of pregnant women with SCH to some extent. For pregnant women with SCH
blood lipid
RE and lipocalin-2 levels should be promptly measured for early screening and effective regimen treatment should be given. More attention should be paid to SCH patients during pregnancy to reduce the occurrence of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
