Objective To explore the effect of psychological care combined with rehabilitation training on the quality of life and social function of patients with schizophrenia

so as to provide a reference for clinical treatment. Methods Ninety-six patients with schizophrenia admitted to the Fifth People’s Hospital of Kaifeng from January to June 2021 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were randomly assigned to the control group and observation group

with 48 cases for each group. Patients in the control group received routine care

and patients in the observation group received psychological care combined with rehabilitation training on the basis of the control group. The scores of the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale（PANSS）

36-Item Short Form Health Survey（SF-36）

and World Health Organization Disability Assessment Scale II（WHO-DAS Ⅱ） were compared between the two groups before intervention and at 8 weeks after intervention. Results Before the intervention

there was no significant difference in PANSS score between the two groups（P>0.05）. At 8 weeks of intervention

the PANSS scores of patients in both groups were significantly lower than those before the intervention

and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group（P<0.05）. Before the intervention

and physical function scores in SF-36 between the 2 groups（P>0.05）. At 8 weeks of intervention

and the observation group was higher than the control group

with statistically significant differences（P<0.05）. Before the intervention

there was no significant difference in WHO-DAS Ⅱ scores between the 2 groups（P>0.05）. At 8 weeks of intervention

the WHO-DAS Ⅱ scores of patients in both groups were significantly lower than those before the intervention

and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group（P<0.05）. Conclusion Psychological care in combination with rehabilitation training has a positive effect on the quality of life and social function of patients with schizophrenia

with marked effect. These benefits hold promise for a wider application clinically.
