Objective To investigate the effect of whole course accompanied delivery nursing midwifery on the delivery outcome of patients

so as to provide a reference for clinical treatment. Methods A total of 96 parturients admitted to the Obstetrics Department of Zhumadian Central Hospital in recent 2 years were selected as the study subjects. The patients were assigned to the control group（n=42） and observation group（n=54） by random number table. During delivery

parturients in the control group received routine obstetric care intervention and parturients in the observation group; the whole course of companion delivery care midwifery. The duration of each stage of labor and the total duration of labor were compared between the 2 groups. The cesarean section rate

spontaneous delivery rate

breastfeeding rate

and postpartum hemorrhage were compared between the two groups. A self-made satisfaction survey was employed to investigate maternal midwifery satisfaction. Results The first

second

and third stages of labor and the total duration of labor in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group.（P<0.05）. The cesarean section rate of parturients in the observation group was lower than that in the control group

the postpartum hemorrhage was less than that in the control group

and the spontaneous delivery rate and breastfeeding rate were higher than those in the control group

and the differences were statistically significant（P<0.05）. The maternal satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group（P<0.05）. Conclusion Whole course accompanied delivery nursing midwifery has an established effect on parturient delivery

which can shorten the duration of labor

improve the natural delivery and breastfeeding rates

and raise the satisfaction of parturients with midwifery work. These advantages justify a wider application clinically.
