Effect of the pre-hospital and in-hospital seamless integrated emergency nursing model in patients with acute carbon monoxide poisoning
Objective To explore the effect of the pre-hospital and in-hospital seamless integrated emergency nursing model in patients with acute carbon monoxide(CO) poisoning. Methods A total of 80 patients with acute CO poisoning admitted to a hospital from October 2018 to October 2020 were selected as the study subjects and were allocated into the routine first aid group(n=40) and the integrated first aid group(n=40) by admisson time. Patients in the routine first aid group(patients admittde from October 2019 to October 2020) received conventional emergency nursing
and patients in the integrated first aid group(patients admittde from October 2019 to October 2020) the prehospital seamless integrated emergency nursing. The effects of first aid
including mortality
improvement and cure rates
were compared between the two groups. Complications were compared between the 2 groups. The pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency time
symptom disappearance time
and hospital stay were compared between the 2 groups. The Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Scale(NSNS) was used to assess the satisfaction of family members with nursing in the 2 groups at discharge. Results The mortality and improvement rates of patients in the integrated first aid group were 5.00% and 22.50%
repectively
which were lower than those in the routine first aid group(22.50% and 45.00%
respectively)
with statistically significant differences(P <0.05). The cure rate of patients in the integrated first aid group was 72.50%
which was higher than that in the routine first aid group(32.50%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the integrated first aid group was 7.89%
which was lower than that in the routine first aid group(35.48%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The pre-hospital and in-hospital first aid time
symptom disappearance time and hospital stay of the patients in the integrated first aid group were shorter than those in the routine first aid group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The nursing satisfaction of family members in the integrated first aid group was 97.37%
which was higher than that in the routine first aid group(77.42%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The application of the pre-hospital and in-hospital seamless integrated emergency nursing in patients with acute CO poisoning can improve the first aid effect
promote rapid recovery for patients
reduce the occurrence of complications
and raise the satisfaction of family members with nursing. These benefits justify a wider application of this technique in clinical practice.
