Effect of evidence-based nursing on anxiety, depression, and rehabilitation of patients underwent laparoscopic surgery for uterine fibroids
Objective To explore the effect of evidence-based nursing on anxiety
depression
and rehabilitation of patients who underwent laparoscopic surgery for uterine fibroids. Methods A total of 88 patients with uterine fibroids who underwent laparoscopic surgery in a hospital in Zhumadian from August 2019 to November 2021 were selected and randomly divided into the control group(n=44) and observation group(n=44). Patients in the control group received routine care
and patients in the observation group evidence-based care. The scores of the Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) score
Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) score
postoperative rehabilitation
and complications before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results The SAS and SDS scores of the two groups after the intervention were lower than those before the intervention
and the observation group was lower than the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The time to first flatus
time to first ambulation
duration of pain
and hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The incidence rate of complications in the observation group was 6.82%(3/44)
which was lower than that in the control group 22.73%(10/44)
and the difference was statistically significant(χ~2=4.423
P=0.035). Conclusion Evidence-based nursing is conducive to reducing anxiety and depression
lowering the risk of complications and promoting postoperative rehabilitation in patients underwent laparoscopic surgery for uterine fibroids.
