Effects of intensive Tri-Ball respiratory muscle exercise combined with continuous oxygen therapy on respiratory and motor function in COPD patients in stable phase
Objective To investigate the effects of intensive Tri-Ball respiratory muscle exercise combined with continuous oxygen therapy treatment on respiratory and motor functions in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) in stable phase. Methods A total of 132 patients with stable COPD admitted to a hospital in Nanyang from May 2018 to May 2020 were selected as subjects
who were assigned to an observation group and a control group using the random number table method
with 66 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received continuous oxygen and drug therapies
and patients in the observation group received Tri-Ball respiratory muscle exercise in addition to the therapies in the control group
and patients in both groups were treated continuously for 3 months. Respiratory function [arterial partial pressure of oxygen(PaO
2
)
arterial partial pressure of oxygen saturation(SaO
were compared between the two groups before treatment and at 3 months of treatment. Results The PaO

and AT levels after treatment were higher in both groups than those before treatment
with the observation group higher than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P

levels after treatment were lower in both groups than those before treatment
with the observation group lower than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P

0.05). CAT and mMRC scores of patients in both groups were lower than those before treatment
with the observation group lower than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P

Conclusion Intensive Tri-Ball respiratory muscle exercise in combination with continuous oxygen therapy can improve respiratory function and motor function and relieve clinical symptoms in patients with COPD in stable phase. These advantages justify a wider application of this therapy clinically.
Application observation of out-of-hospital tracking management combined with nutrition and health guidance in the continuous care of COPD patients with drug-resistant pulmonary tuberculosis
Effects of threshold pressure-loaded respiratory muscle training on pulmonary function, exercise tolerance and respiratory muscle strength in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Effects of multis ensory stimulation on motor function, developmental level and language competence in children with global developmental delay
Effects of early rehabilitation therapy on neurological and motor functions and activity of daily living in patients with hemiplegia caused by cerebral infarction
Application of cognitive schema health education combined with family-accompanied narrative therapy in elderly patients with COPD
