Effect of IKAP nursing on maternal psychological status and postpartum hemorrhage in women with vaginal delivery
Objective To investigate the effect of IKAP care on maternal psychological status and postpartum hemorrhage in women with vaginal delivery. Methods A total of 90 women with vaginal delivery admitted to the Department of Obstetrics of a hospital in Xiamen from June 2019 to June 2020 were selected as subjects
who were assigned to an experimental group and a control group by random number table method
with 45 cases in each group. The women with vaginal deliverry in the control group received routine obstetric nursing during the perinatal period
and the women with vaginal deliverry in the experimental group received IKAP nursing intervention after receiving routine obstetric nursing. The scores of Self-efficacy Scale
Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)
Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)
postpartum hemorrhage and postpartum satisfaction before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results Before the intervention
there was no significant difference in HAMA
HAMD and self-efficacy scale scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After the intervention
the HAMA and HAMD scores of the two groups were lower than those before the intervention
and the experimental group was lower than the control group
with statistical significance(P<0.05). After the intervention
the Self-efficacy Scale scores of the two groups were higher than those before the intervention
and the experimental group was higher than the control group
with statistical significance(P<0.05). Postpartum hemorrhage in the experimental group was less than that in the control group at 2 h and 24 h
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The postpartum hemorrhage rate in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group
and the maternal satisfaction with delivery in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group
with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion IKAP nursing intervention can effectively reduce the anxiety and depression of women under vaginal delivery during childbirth
improve maternal confidence in childbirth
decrease maternal postpartum hemorrhage
and improve maternal satisfaction with childbirth. These benefits justify a wilder application of this nursing.
