Applicati on of evidence-based care after emergency cervical cerclage in patients with cervical insufficiency during pregnancy
Objective To explore the application of evidence-based nursing care after emergency cervical cerclage in patients with cervical insufficiency during pregnancy. Methods A total of 76 patients with cervical insufficiency during pregnancy who underwent emergency cervical cerclage in a hospital in Zhengzhou from March 2016 to March 2021 were selected and assgined to observation and control groups using the random number table method
with 38 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received conventional care
and patients in the observation group evidence-based care in addition to the conventional care. The self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) and self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) scores
quality of life
the occurrence of postoperative complications
pregnancy outcome
and nursing satisfaction were compared between the 2 groups of patients before and after the intervention. Results The SAS and SDS scores of patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after the intervention
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The rate of postoperative complications in the observation group was 2.63%
which was lower than that in the control group(21.05%)
and the difference was statistically significant(χ~2=4.537
P=0.033). There was no significant difference in the miscarriage rate and premature birth rate between the two groups(P>0.05). The rate of term delivery in the observation group was 68.42%
which was higher than that in the control group(34.21%)
and the difference was statistically significant(χ~2=8.901
P=0.003). The physical function
psychological function
social function
and material life status scores of the post-intervention Generic Quality of Life Inventory-74(GQOL-74) scale in the observation group were higher than those in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Patient satisfaction for care in the observation group was 97.37%
which was higher than that in the control group(78.95%)
and the difference was statistically significant(χ~2=4.537
P=0.033). Conclusion The application of evidence-based nursing care after emergency cervical cerclage in patients with cervical insufficiency during pregnancy improves patients’ psychological status and pregnancy outcome
increases their level of hope
and reduces the risk of postoperative complications.
