Clinical study of dopamine in combination with rhEPO in the treatment of neonatal sclerosis
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of dopamine combined with recombinant human erythropoietin(rh EPO) in the treatment of neonatal sclerosis. Methods A total of 112 newborns with sclerosis admitted to a hospital in Panjin from January 2017 to January 2021 were selected as subjects
who were assigned to a rh EPO group and a control group using the random number table method
with 56 cases in each group. The children in the control group were treated with dopamine
and the children in the rh EPO group dopamine combined with rh EPO. The children in both groups were treated for 7 d and received a follow-up for 6 months. The clinical efficacy
the time to initial scleromas resolution
the time to complete resolution of the scleromas
and rewarming time were compared. The serum creatinine(SCr) and blood urea nitrogen(BUN) levels before and after treatment were compared between the two groups of children. The psychomotor development index(PDI) scores and mental development index(MDI) scores of the two groups were compared at 3 months and 6 months of follow-up. Results The total effective rate of treatment for children in the rh EPO group was 98.21%
which was higher than that of the control group(85.71%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The time to initial scleromas resolution
the time to complete resolution of the scleromas
and rewarming time in the rh EPO group were shorter than those in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). After treatment
the serum BUN levels of children in both groups were lower than those before treatment
and the rh EPO group was lower than the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The MDI and PDI scores of children in the rh EPO group were higher than those in the control group at 3 and 6 months of follow-up
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Dopamine in combination with rh EPO is effective in the treatment of neonatal sclerosis
which can effectively improve the renal function of the children
promote the recovery of the disease
and promote the intelligent development of the children. These benefits justify a wider application of this procedure clinically.
