Clinical effect of uterine support device for prevention and treatment of supine hypotension syndrome during cesarean section
Objective To explore the effect of uterine support device on the prevention and treatment of intraoperative supine hypotension syndrome during cesarean delivery and on maternal blood pressure
adverse effects
and neonatal Apgar score(Apgar). Methods A total of 126 singleton women who underwent elective cesarean delivery in a hospital in Luoyang City from February 2019 to March 2021 were selected as subjects. They were assigned to a control group and an experimental group using the random number table method
with 63 cases in each group. The pregnant women in the control group underwent normal cesarean section
and the pregnant women in the experimental group were treated with a uterine support device after receiving the cesarean section. The incidence of supine hypotension syndrome
blood pressure levels [systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)] at various time points before and after anesthesia
the occurrence of adverse reactions and the physical condition of the newborn(Apgar score) during cesarean section were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of supine hypotension syndrome in pregnant women in the experimental group during cesarean section was 6.35%
which was lower than that in the control group(20.63%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The blood pressure(SBP and DBP) levels of pregnant women in the 2 groups after anesthesia were lower than that before anesthesia
with the experimental group higher than the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in pregnant women in the experimental group was 7.94%
which was lower than that in the control group(25.40%)
and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05). The Apgar scores of newborns in the experimental group were(9.39±0.31)
which was lower than that of the control group(9.44±0.26)
and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05). Conclusion The use of a uterine support device can effectively prevent the risk of supine hypotension syndrome during cesarean delivery
reduce the magnitude of intraoperative blood pressure fluctuations and the occurrence of adverse reactions in pregnant women
and maintain the physical condition of the newborn. These advantages justify
to some degree
a wider application of this device.
