Appl ication of nursing interventions based on quality control theory in the interventional treatment of acute cerebral infarction
Objective To analyze the effect of nursing interventions based on quality control theory in the interventional treatment of acute cerebral infarction(ACI).Methods Eighty-seven patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted to a hospital in Zhengzhou from February 2019 to January 2020 were selected for the study and divided into a study group(n=52) and a control group(n=35) according to the nursing method employed.Patients in the control group were given conventional nursing interventions
and patients in the study group received nursing interventions based on quality control theory in addition;both groups received continual nursing until discharge.The neurological functions [National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)] and quality of life [the Short Form-36(SF-36)] were compared between the 2 groups of patients before and after nursing interventions;the occurrence of complications and the satisfaction with nursing were also compared.Results Before the interventions
there was no statistically significant difference between the NIHSS scores of patients in the 2 groups(P>0.05);after the interventions
the NIHSS scores of patients in the 2 groups were lower than before the interventions and lower in the study group than in the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The complication rate of patients in the study group was 5.77%
which was lower than that of 20.00% in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(χ~2 =4.154
P=0.041).Before the interventions
there was no statistically significant difference between the SF-36 scores of patients in the 2 groups(P>0.05);after the interventions
the SF-36 scores of patients in both groups were higher than before the intervention and higher in the study group than in the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The rate of satisfaction with nursing in the study group was 96.15%
which was higher than that of 82.86% in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(χ~2=4.230
P=0.035).Conclusion The application of nursing interventions based on quality control theory in the interventional treatment of ACI patients can effectively improve patients’ neurological functions and quality of life
reduce the probability of postoperative complications
and increase patients’ satisfaction with nursing care
which makes it worthy of wider application in clinical practice.
