Effect of personalized continuing care intervention on the improvement of blood pressure and independent living ability of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage patients
Objective To explore the effect of personalized continuing care intervention on the improvement of blood pressure and independent living ability of patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage. Methods Eighty-four patients with hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage admitted to a hospital in Nanyang from March 2020 to January 2021 were selected as study subjects and divided into a control group(42 cases) and an observation group(42 cases) using the random number table method. Patients in the control group were given conventional care while patients in the observation group received personalized continuing care intervention in addition; both groups received continual care for 3 months. The systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) levels as well as self-rating depression scale(SDS) and self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) scores were compared between the two groups before and after care. The independent living ability scores after the intervention and the occurrence of complications during the intervention were also compared. Results Before the intervention
there was no statistically significant difference between the SBP and DBP levels of the two groups(P>0.05); after the intervention
the SBP and DBP levels of the two groups were lower than before the intervention and lower in the observation group than in the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). Before the intervention
there was no statistically significant difference between the SDS and SAS scores of the 2 groups(P>0.05); after the intervention
the SDS and SAS scores of the 2 groups were lower than before the intervention and lower in the observation group than in the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). After the intervention
patients in the observation group had higher social cognitive function
walking
self-care ability
sphincter control
communication ability
and transfer scores than those in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). During the intervention
the complication rate in the observation group was 7.14%
which was lower than that of 33.33% in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Personalized continuing care intervention effectively alleviates the clinical symptoms
improves the psychological state
enhances the independent living ability and controls the blood pressure level of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage patients with high safety
and is worthy of clinical application.
