Effect of wh ole-course health education combined with perioperative nursing intervention in the care of patients undergoing modified Onlay bone grafting
Objective To investigate the effect of whole-course health education combined with perioperative nursing intervention in the care of patients undergoing modified Onlay bone grafting. Methods In this study
120 patients with severe alveolar bone defects in the dental area treated with modified Onlay bone grafting in a hospital in Henan from August 2019 to August 2021 were selected as study subjects
and the patients were divided into an intervention group(n=60) and a control group(n=60) using the random number table method. The patients in the control group were given perioperative care interventions
and the patients in the intervention group were given whole-course health education on the basis of the control group. The survival rate of implants and the pink and white esthetic scores(WES and PES) of the 2 groups were compared; the treatment compliance of the 2 groups was compared; the self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and the Hamilton anxiety rating scale(HAMA) scores of the 2 groups were compared before and at the end of surgery; the complications of the 2 groups were compared at 1 month after surgery. Results The implant survival rate
WES score and PES score of patients in the intervention group were 96.67%
8.31±1.15 and 8.16±1.21
respectively
higher than those in the control group
which were 70.00%
6.52±1.44 and 6.22±1.49
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The excellent treatment compliance rate of patients in the intervention group was 93.33%
which was higher than that of 68.33% in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Before care
there was no statistically significant difference in SAS and HAMA scores between the 2 groups(P>0.05). At the end of surgery
the SAS and HAMA scores of patients in the 2 groups were lower than those before care and lower in the intervention group than in the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The complication rate of patients in the intervention group was 5.00%
which was lower than that of 16.66% in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05). Conclusion The effect of whole-course health education combined with perioperative nursing intervention is significant in the care of patients undergoing modified Onlay bone grafting. This nursing model can improve patients’ anxiety
improve the surgical results and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications. Therefore
it is worthy of wider clinical practice.
