Meditation relaxation therapy combined with supportive psychological intervention in patients with chronic hepatitis B
Objective To explore the effect of meditation relaxation therapy combined with supportive psychological intervention on the psychological state and coping style of patients with chronic hepatitis B. Methods Eightytwo patients with chronic hepatitis B admitted to the outpatient clinic of a hospital in Nanyang from May 2019 to March 2021 were selected and divided into a control group and an observation group using the random number table method
with 41 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were given conventional care
and the patients in the observation group were given meditation relaxation therapy combined with supportive psychological intervention on the basis of the control group. The psychological status
coping style and quality of life of the patients in the two groups were compared before and after the intervention. Results The self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and self-rating depression scale(SDS) scores of patients in the 2 groups were lower than those before care and lower in the observation group than in the control group
with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). The scores for positive coping style in the Simple Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ) were higher in both groups than before the intervention and higher in the observation group than in the control group
while those for negative coping style were lower in both groups than before the intervention and lower in the observation group than in the control group; the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.05). The scores of the Chronic Liver Disease Questionnaire(CLDQ) were higher in both groups than before the intervention and higher in the observation group than in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05). Conclusion Meditation relaxation therapy combined with supportive psychological intervention can effectively reduce the negative emotions of patients with chronic hepatitis B
help patients face life positivelyand improve their quality of life.
