Effects of group cognitive-behavioral therapy on anxiety-depressive symptoms in secondary school students
Objective To explore the effect of group cognitive-behavioral therapy on anxiety-depressive symptoms in secondary school students. Methods One hundred cases of secondary school students with anxiety-depressive symptoms treated in the project area(Jiulongpo and Liangping districts of Chongqing) from October 2020 to February 2021 were selected for the study and divided into a study group and a control group using the random number table method
with 50 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given conventional health guidance
while patients in the study group were treated with group cognitive-behavioral therapy based on the control group
and both groups were treated for 10 weeks. The scores of the Screen for Child Anxiety Related Disorders(SCARED)
the Depression Self Rating Scale for Children(DSRSC)
and the Inventory of Subjective Life Quality(ISLQ) were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results Before treatment
there was no statistically significant difference between the SCARED and DSRSC scores of patients in the 2 groups(P>0.05).After treatment
the SCARED and DSRSC scores of patients in the study group were lower than those before treatment and significantly lower than those in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).Before treatment
there was no statistically significant difference between the ISLQ scores of patients in the 2 groups(P>0.05).After treatment
the ISLQ scores of patients in the study group were higher than those before treatment and significantly higher than those in the control group
and the differences were all statistically significant(P <0.01).Conclusion Group cognitive-behavioral therapy can significantly improve the anxiety-depressive symptoms of secondary school students and improve their own quality of life
which is of great clinical significance and is worth promoting in the clinic.
