Objective To explore the effect of dietary care on the knowledge of dietary health among gastric ulcer patients and treatment effect for them. Methods Ninety cases of gastric ulcer patients admitted to a hospital in Jiangxi Province from May 2018 to April 2021 were selected for this study. Using the random number table method

the patients were divided into observation group and control group

with 45 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received conventional care

and patients in the observation group were given dietary care on the basis of the control group. When the patients were discharged from the hospital

a self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the knowledge of dietary health care of the patients. At 2 weeks of intervention

the treatment effects of patients in the 2 groups were compared. Results The score of dietary health care knowledge of patients in the observation group was 94.01±2.18

which was higher than that of the control group（81.12±2.23）

and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）. The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 93.33%

higher than that of the control group（77.78%）

and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）. Conclusion Dietary care can effectively help gastric ulcer patients grasp more knowledge of dietary health care

improve the treatment effect and guarantee the life and health safety of gastric ulcer patients

which is worthy of wider clinical application.
