Effects of targeted treatment on gestational diabetes mellitus complicated with premature rupture of membranes
Objective To explore the effect of targeted treatment on gestational diabetes mellitus complicated with premature rupture of membranes. Methods A total of 68 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus complicated with premature rupture of membranes in a hospital in Henan Province from January to December 2019 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were randomly divided into the study group and the control group. Patients in the control group were treated with uterine contraction inhibitors. The patients in the study group were given targeted treatment. After delivery
the fasting and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose levels were compared between the two groups. The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage was compared between the two groups. The adverse outcome and Apgar score of newborns in the two groups were compared. Results The fasting and 2-hour postprandial blood glucose levels in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). There were 2 cases of postpartum hemorrhage in the study group
accounting for 5.9%
and 3 cases of postpartum hemorrhage in the control group
accounting for 8.8%. There was no significant difference in the incidence of massive hemorrhage between the two groups(P>0.05). The incidence of adverse outcome among newborns in the study group was 2.9%
which was lower than 14.7%in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The Apgar score of newborns in the study group(8.3±0.5) was significantly higher than that in the control group(4.0±0.4)(P<0.05). Conclusion Targeted treatment for patients with gestational diabetes mellitus and effective treatment for patients with premature rupture of membranes can reduce the incidence of adverse outcomes of newborns and improve maternal and infant prognosis
which is worthy of clinical popularization application.
