Influencing factors of complete remission time of abdominal distension in patients after painless colonoscopy
Objective To analyze the influencing factors of complete remission time of abdominal distension after painless colonoscopy in order to provide clinical guidance for nursing. Methods A total of 96 patients with abdominal distension after painless colonoscopy were selected from July to September 2019 in a hospital in Guangdong province. In this study
the average time of complete remission of abdominal distension was 4.51 h. 39 cases of patients with complete remission time of abdominal distension >4.51 h were included in the observation group
and 57 cases of patients with complete remission time of abdominal distension ≤4.51 h were included in the control group. The clinical data of all patients were collected
including gender
age
dietary taste
body mass index(BMI)
clinical manifestation
history of abdominal operation
intestinal preparation grade
Numerical Pain Rating Scale
Bruggrmann Comfort Scale and Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale(GSRS). The statistically significant factors in the results of univariate analysis were taken as independent variables and the time of complete remission of abdominal distension as dependent variables. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was carried out to analyze the relevant risk factors affecting the time of complete remission of abdominal distension. Results There was no significant difference in gender
age
history of abdominal operation
intestinal preparation grade and Numerical Pain Rating Scale between the two groups(P>0.05)
but there were significant differences in dietary taste
BMI
times of bowel sounds per minute
Bruggrmann Comfort Scale and GSRS score between the two groups(P<0.05). The results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the number of bowel sounds per minute(OR=0.176
P=0.038) was a protective factor for the time of complete remission of abdominal distension after painless colonoscopy. Bruggrmann Comfort Scale(OR=1.679
P=0.048) and GSRS score(OR=1.508
P=0.021) were risk factors for complete remission of abdominal distension after painless colonoscopy. Conclusion In clinical work
we should pay attention to the abdominal distension of patients after painless colonoscopy
especially the patients with lower intestinal sounds per minute
higher Bruggrmann Comfort Scale and GSRS score. We should strengthen management
shorten the time of complete remission of abdominal distension and improve the comfort after examination.
