Study on epidemic trend and disease burden of intestinal infectious diseases in Qi County from 2015 to 2019
Objective To understand the epidemic trend and disease burden of intestinal infectious diseases in Qi County
so as to provide scientific basis for formulating prevention and control strategies of intestinal infectious diseases. Methods The data of intestinal infectious diseases in Qi County was derived from the disease preven-tion and control information system from 2015 to 2019. The incidence rate
age-specific incidence rate
years lived with disability(YLDs) and YLDs rate were used to describe the epidemic status and disease burden. Excel 2007 and SPSS 21.0 were used to prepare and analyze the data. Results A total of 7 422 cases of 5 kinds of in-testinal infectious diseases were reported in Qi County from 2015 to 2019
with an average annual incidence of 158.59/100 000. The average annual incidence of five intestinal infectious diseases from high to low was other in-fectious diarrhea(107.39/100 000)
hand
foot and mouth disease(45.90/100 000)
bacillary dysentery(3.87/100 000)
hepatitis A(0.73/100 000) and hepatitis E(0.71/100 000). The overall incidence in males was higher than that in females(P<0.05). The incidence of other infectious diarrhea in different age groups ranked first a-mong the five intestinal infectious diseases. Hand-foot-mouth disease and bacillary dysentery had the highest inci-dence in the 0-year-old group
with the incidence of 474.76/100
000 and 18.65/100 000 respectively. The inci-dence of other infectious diarrhea was high in 0-year-old group and 30-year-old group
and the incidence was 478.13/100 000 and 106.38/100 000
respectively. The incidence of hepatitis A was the highest in the 15-year-old group(1.06/100 000)
and that of hepatitis E was the highest in the 60-year-old group(1.15/100 000). The incidence of hand-foot-mouth disease and other infectious diarrhea showed an upward trend
while bacillary dys-entery showed a downward trend. Except for hepatitis A and E
the incidence of the other three diseases was mostly concentrated from May to July. The total YLDs and YLDs rates of the five intestinal infectious diseases were 47.96 man-year and 1.20 man-year/100 000 respectively. The YLDs and YLDs rates of males were 29.58 man-year
and 1.22 man-year/100 000 respectively. The YLDs and YLDs rates of females were 18.38 man-year and 0.82 man-year/100 000 respectively. The YLDs of different diseases from high to low were infectious diar-rhea(23.75 man-year)
hand-foot-mouth disease
hepatitis A
hepatitis E and bacillary dysentery. The YLDs and YLDs rate in 0-year-old group were the highest
which were 27.42 man-year and 7.10 man-year/100 000
respectively. Conclusion From 2015 to 2019
the incidence of other infectious diarrhea and hand-foot-mouth dis-ease in Qi County is higher
which is mostly concentrated in summer. Children and the elderly are high-risk groups of intestinal infectious diseases
so prevention and control measures should be taken.
