The pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of liver fibrosis in patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) refers to excessive excess fat deposition in the liver in theabsence of excessive alcohol consumption and other specific liver damage factors
which is associated with metabol-ic syndrome and insulin resistance. It is one of the most common liver diseases worldwide and has an increasing inci-dence. With disease progression
NAFLD patients may develop nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)
liver cirrho-sis
and hepatocellular carcinoma. The development and severity of liver fibrosis is a key prognostc factor forNAFLD
and it is very important for NAFLD patients to early evaluate
dagnose
and treat liver fibrosis. This reviewsummarizes the pathogenesis
diagnosis
and treatment of liver fibrosis in patients with NAFLD.
