Objective To investigate the effect of multiple nursing on the occurrence of adverse events in elderly patients with coronary artery disease. Methods Seventy-eight elderly patients with coronary heart disease admitted from February 2018 to February 2019 were selected for this study. The patients were divided into a control group and an observation group with 39 patients in each group using a random number table. Patients in the control group took conventional nursing care

and patients in the observation group received multiple nursing care on the basis of the control group. The incidence of adverse reactions in the 2 groups of patients at the time of hospital discharge was compared. The Hamilton Anxiety Scale and Hamilton Depression Scale scores of the 2 groups of patients before care and at the time of discharge were compared. Results The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 2.56%

which was lower than the 20.50% in the control group

and the difference was statistically significant（χ

=4.522

P=0.033）. At the time of discharge

the Hamilton Anxiety Scale score and Hamilton Depression Scale score in the observation group were 3.27±0.54 and 2.31±0.93

respectively

which were lower than the control group’s scores of 6.37±0.31 and 4.31±0.84

and the difference was statistically significant（P

0.05）. Conclusion Multiple nursing can reduce the risk of secondary arrhythmias

heart failure

acute myocardial infarction and other adverse events in patients with coronary heart disease

as well as relieve patients’ anxiety

depression and other adverse emotions. The clinical effect is remarkable

and it is worth wider application.
