Observation of the use of disposable gastric cannula in gastric lavage of patients with acute food poisoning
Objective To explore the effect of disposable gastric cannula in gastric lavage of acute food poisoning patients. Methods One hundred cases of acute food poisoning patients admitted to a hospital in Zhengzhou from February 2017 to February 2019 were selected as the study subjects. The patients were divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table
with 50 cases in each group. Patients in the con-trol group used traditional gastric tube; patients in the observation group used disposable sleeve gastric tube. The time taken to place the gastric tube
the success rate of first-time tube placement and the success rate of rescue were compared between the two groups; at the time of discharge from hospital
the complication rate was compared between the two groups; the patient satisfaction score was compared between the two groups. Results The difference in the time taken to insert the gastric tube between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05). The success rate of first-time tube placement and that of rescue in the observation group were 98.00% and 96.00%
respectively
which were higher than those of 86.00% and 80.00% in the control group
and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The complication rate of the patients in the observation group was 10.00%
which was lower than that of 30.00% in the control group
and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). The service attitude
service content
personnel quality scores and total score of patients in the observation group were(4.52±1.27)
(4.38±1.25)
(4.46±1.21) and(13.66±4.13)
respectively
which were higher than the control group’s(2.35±0.22)
(2.26±0.15)
(2.31±0.48) and(7.63±2.32)
and the differences were statis-tically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion The disposable gastric cannula used in the gastric lavage of acute food poisoning patients can improve the success rate of rescue and first-time placement
reduce the complication rate
and has favorable safety; it is beneficial to the clinical treatment of patients and thus worthy of clinical promotion and application.
