Effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on lung function and quality of life of patients with COPD
Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing intervention on the lung function and quality of life of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). Methods A total of 114 patients with stable COPD who were admitted to a hospital in Liaoyang from March 2018 to March 2019 were selected as the research subjects. The patients were divided into the control group and the observation group using a random number table
with 57 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given routine nursing intervention
and patients in the observation group were given comprehensive nursing intervention based on the nursing of the control group. The two groups were compared before and after one month of intervention in terms of the forced vital capacity(FVC)
forced expiratory volume in 1 s(FEV
1
)
FEV
1
/FVC ratio
maximum inspiratory pressure(MIP) level and COPD assessment test(CAT) score. Results After 1 month of nursing
the FVC
FEV
1
and FEV
1
/FVC in the observation group were(4.32±0.39) L
(2.89±0.75) L and(68.48±4.67)%
respectively
higher than those in the control group
which were(3.99±0.48) L
(2.40±0.51) L and(61.17±5.06)%
respectively
and the differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05). After 1 month of nursing
the MIP level and CAT score in the observation group were(2.34±0.63) k Pa and(1.52±0.38) points
lower than those of the control group
which were(2.82±0.88) k Pa and(1.96±0.70) points
and the differences were statistically significant(P
<
0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive nursing can effectively improve the lung function of patients with COPD and improve their quality of life by taking a full range of nursing measures. Its effects are evident
